The conference will take place at the North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk (NEFU), which is one of the biggest federal universities in Russia providing modern environment for a fruitful academic exchange. Yakutsk is the capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) which is the largest part of the Russian Federation. The Republic of Sakha occupies one-fifth of the territory of Russia. It is such a large area that there could be located seven European countries: Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Finland, Greece and Sweden. The Republic of Sakha is not only the biggest but also the coldest land. Over 40% of its territory is beyond the Arctic Circle.

One of the main tourist attractions of the Republic of Sakha is its nature, and especially, the “Lena Pillars Nature Park”, which is a part of UNESCO World Heritage. During the conference, a two-days boat trip to the Lena Pillars Nature Park is planned, which will provide a unique opportunity to visit Siberian nature in its original form.
